Lovely Blog Award.

Hey friends! I hope you’re doing well and your weekend is off to a great start already. I don’t have much planned these next couple days besides maybe some housework and a little reading. John and I just got a new book called “Love Wins” by Rob Bell and I’m already getting pretty into it. It should make for a nice relaxing weekend.

Before I forget I wanted to say thank you so much for all the wonderful comments you guys left on my Body Love post a couple days ago. It really meant a lot to know that other people have dealt with the same struggles I have and also find importance in having a healthy body image. I think all of you are awesome and I read and appreciate every little note you leave me. So thanks again.

Last week Emily at Eat.Drink.Run awarded me the One Lovely Blog Award. Thanks Emily!

Upon receiving the One Lovely Blog Award I am to share 7 things about myself and then nominate up to 15 other bloggers to also receive the award.

For the first part I’m switching it up a little. Here’s my list of 7 things about me in video form. Enjoy!

And my nominations, if they choose to accept (or haven’t been previously chosen) are:

1) Lauren @ The Little Things We Do

2) Jessica @ How Sweet It Is

3) Holly @ The Healthy Everythingtarian

4) Shae @ Skinnyshae

5) Ashley @ The Edible Perspective

6) Heather @ Heather Eats Almond Butter

9) Michelle @ The Runner’s Plate

10) Julie @ Peanut Butter Fingers

11) Katie @ Yes, I Want Cake

Thanks again Emily. What a fun little award. I’m honored to have received it.

Alright, thanks for stopping by and happy weekending!

Hope to see you all again soon,

  1. Love the video!

  2. What?!? No almond butter??? ;)

My first job was in a sandwich shop, and we had to bake Otis Spunkmeyer cookies every shift…oh my gosh, so food. I avoided them for so long and finally gave in one day and then ate them every single shift after that. Thank goodness we didn’t sell the muffins!

Thanks so much for the award. I’m honored. :)

    • Heather, I know! What’s wrong with me? I just like PB so much more than almond butter that I can’t make the switch. Help!
That’s so cool that you used to work at a sandwich shop (I did too) and that you baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies! Spunkmeyer muffins are the best! Just keep them away from me. I’m defenseless around them.

  3. *oh my gosh, so Good

  4. How fun! I love how you switched it up and did a vlog. I love hearing what other blogger’s voices sound like. Your’s matched you very well. :-)

I will have to do this post sometime this week, thanks for passing it along to me. Happy Sunday!

  5. you’re so sweet to think of me friend. i’ve actually already done this a couple of times already on my blog, but i’ll list off my seven things here in the comments if you don’t mind:

    1. i love ice cream for dinner.

    2. i have a closet love for the movie “never been kissed” despite the fact that it’s so cheesy and i don’t generally even like romantic comedies. weird.

    3. i miss my friend dana like whoa.

    4. i took photography all four years in high school and loved it. i rolled my own film and developed in the dark room and was even a T.A. i even thought about going to school for photography for awhile.

    5. i’ve been a super slacker about cooking lately. craig has made our last 2 meals. i need to get reenergized about this. maybe i’ll whip up some of your recipes next week.

    6. i don’t really like frosting.

    7. i’ve never broken a bone.

i love you mucho friend. i really really really wish i could be spending my sunday getting blizzards with you guys!

  6. Hey Dana!

Thanks SO much for the award!! I am lagging behind on posting a little bit! But I will definitely post my 7 things soon! I love that you did yours in a video how cool!!

BTW, have you tried sunflower butter? It’s as good as PB in my book, and I like it much better than almond butter!

    • Hey friend! Yes, I have tried sunflower butter. I got some at a farmers market one time in Portland and it was good, but not amazing. I think it was a bit grittier than the Sunbutter brand varieties I’ve seen, so maybe I need to give those a try…
Thanks for the advice and I look forward to seeing your “7 things” soon :D.

  7. you are so sweet! i shall do my best to link back accordingly…. :)
